Phase 1A Successful—Phase 1B Begins
God is good! CCA has seen many young people come to Christ through our outreaches this spring. Enrollment is moving along and many grades are beginning to fill up. Finally, the “Promised Land” fund has fully met the emergency need thanks to your generosity. The down payment of $112,500, also called Phase 1A, has been raised and we are ready to complete Phase 1B of the campaign.
As you may recall from previous letters, the total needed to buy the land and to “occupy” it through the end of the summer is more than just the down payment itself. Careful study has caused us to conclude that a total of $185,000 including what we have already raised is needed by June 18th.
As of April 11, 2014 we had raised $115,761, which means we need to raise an additional $69,239 as soon as we can. Recently, I spoke with a community member who expressed distress that we may have raised “too much money.” I did not understand their concern until they explained, “I want to be in on the ground floor.” Wow! That's Joshua and Caleb like faith. Please give generously now—it’s not too late to join the ground floor team. I know that this next stage is not as exciting as the first; getting a cool new phone for a great price is a lot more fun than paying the monthly bill. I also know that this is one of the only stages where we don’t see something specific built, yet the behind the scenes grunt work is just plain necessary. So join me as we roll up our sleeves. If you have not yet spied out the new land, join us on April 26 for CCA Day— details are online.
See our Book of Dreams for detailed drawings, maps, etc.
